What We Make

Services

If it can be made of wood, just ask.

Woodturning

We shape spinning wood on the lathe (known as “rokuro” in Korean workshops). Bowls, plates and lidded boxes are our specialty, and we turn columns, legs and handles with precision. Traditional ottchil (Korean lacquer) finishing is also available.

  • Wooden tableware: bowls, plates, lidded boxes, stands
  • Pepper & salt mills, teacups, mugs
  • Round parts: handles, rods, finials

Case Studies

How we made them

Real photos from our workshop show how an order becomes a finished piece.

01 · Large-quantity parts

Every piece by hand, however many

Each identical turned part is taken up again and bored one by one. Large orders get the same handwork.

  1. Finished parts and a solid-wood board on the workshop floor

    1Turned parts gathered together

  2. The craftsman drilling each part by hand

    2Bored one at a time

  3. Identical turned and bored parts

    3Finished, all the same shape

02 · Balusters made in volume

From one sample to hundreds

From a single sample we turn the full quantity to the same shape and size. Finished balusters are bundled carefully so they arrive undamaged.

03 · Solid wood stands

Same shape, different woods

Even the same stand looks completely different in another wood. We choose the wood together to match the look you want.

04 · Turning a column on the lathe

From a log to a column

A thick blank is mounted on the lathe, and the blade is set against the spinning wood to shape every curve and measurement.
